I can see stars!

I can see stars!

I decided to give up measuring things and just look at them instead. So I got my little telescope out tonight and looked at the heavens. There were lots and lots and lots of stars – more than I could count.

Studying the stars is called Astro-nomy, at least I think that’s how you say it. But that sounds more like the study of Gnomes to me!

East meets West

East meets West

Caz showed us a place called the Prime Meridian in Greenwich, where one side of the Earth meets the other.

Leo is sitting in the Eastern hemisphere, and I’m in the Western. But we can still shake hands!

The Royal Observatory Greenwich is a very interesting place to visit. We also enjoyed a long sunny walk around the Park, but it was very cold so we snuggled in the bag to keep warm.
