This is a comfy place to sit

After a very long journey today, we finally arrived in Newcastle at Mr Duck‘s house. He is having to help Alistair out a lot because he has a broken wing (well, elbow) and has it up in a sling. But we discovered that it’s actually quite a nice warm, comfy place to sit and watch the telly.

Time to chill in the garden

It was very hot again today, so Leo and me decided to chill at home. We have had some very busy weekends recently, and although we had a great time, it is also nice to spend some time just relaxing.

We sat in the garden and cooked some lovely bangers and eggs on the barbeque – at least, I hope Leo is keeping an eye on them from behind his silly sunglasses – there’s nothing worse than burnt saussies!

We are going around Saturn!

Today was our last day in Blackpool before we headed home. We went to see this little Solar System in a park, and me, Leo and Mr Duck decided to take a spin around Saturn’s rings. Wheeeeeeee! Then we had a lovely walk in a really big park before saying goodbye to Mr Duck and getting the train home with Caz. We had a lovely stay in Blackpool – I hope we can visit again soon!

It is a bit wet here!

After our fun day yesterday at Barcamp Blackpool, Caz and Alistair decided to take us to look for some Tupperware today. It was very very windy, and we had to take shelter by this waterfall while they went and did silly the stuff looking for a little pot. At least they took us to a nice tea room later! Most of the time, it was almost too windy for them to stand up, so we stayed tucked up nicely in the bag until we were asked to come out for a picture. Leo is keeping the peace

We had a long journey on the train today with Caz, on our way to Barcamp Blackpool this weekend. We met up with Alistair and Mr Duck and lots of other of our geek friends. I think Mr Duck got his beach graffiti a little bit wrong, so I had to find a stick and make a few corrections.

Cool customer

Poor old Ice-Bat has really been suffering in the heat the last few days. So today I suggested that perhaps he should take an ice bath to cool down. He thought it was a great idea, and despite the look on his face, he was really enjoying himself, splashing about between the ice cubes!

We have clovers

We went on a lovely walk today with Caz and her photographic friends.

It was very hot though, so we sat in the shade for a little rest and picked some clover. You can see me and Leo have a flower each!

It is huge!

We went to HackCamp again today, where we saw an iPad belonging to one of Caz’s geeky mates. We were very lucky as we were allowed to play with it, so Leo helped me have a look at my lovely website on the big screen. I think it all looks pretty shiny – and the iPad isn’t bad either!

Watch the birdie

We had a lovely time today at the local park where they had a wildlife day. We stroked some owls, and there was a huge snake and tarantulas! Leo and me also met this rather nice Robin who wanted to be friends.

Tickle under the chin!

Caz was very busy today and she didn’t finish work until very late. So we had to amuse ourselves as she didn’t have time to take us out to play. I found a big feather and thought I would tickle Leo under the chin with it. We had a good giggle!

Weeeee!

When we got back from Leeds today, I was wondering what I could do to amuse myself, then I found a skateboard. So I went along to the slopes and had a go at doing some tricks. I met a nice Lego chap there too, who showed me how to do some clever stuff without falling off!

Lovely sushi with friends

Today Leo and me went to BarCamp Leeds with our friend Mr Duck. There were lots of interesting sessions for Caz to listen to, and we liked the food too. As well as lots of tasty sandwiches, there was also some yummy sushi for lunch.

Still room for me!

Caz had to buy a new rucksack today, because the zip on her old one broke. Of course, I went along to help her choose another one, and to make sure there was a suitable Dragon Pocket available for when I need a ride.

This is the one we got. Do you like it? Gordon The Gecko did, so he decided to migrate from the old bag to the new one to keep me company.

Whose turn is it next?

This evening, Caz met some friends in the pub for a natter. Me and Leo went along too because we knew there would be some friends for us to have fun with. The pub has lots of games to play, so we decided to have a go at Scrabble with Adam the Lego man and his tortoise mates Claude and Marcus.

Adam is putting down his tile to finish the word Lego, and Leo’s spelling isn’t good (I’m sure ROR is wrong!). So I wonder what I can do with this Z?
