Day 198 – Big Red Fire Engine

It's very shiny

It is very shiny

Today we had fun at the local village fête – there were stalls with candyfloss, ice cream and arty-crafty things for sale. And we saw a dog display team from Wales and a big marching band who palyed lots of nice tunes as they walked up and down. But my favourite was the big red fire engine which was on display and you could go and play with it.

At first, I was a bit nervous as I thought the firemen would want to put out my fire, but I had a chat with them and they were very friendly. They realised that I was another professional who deals with fire every day, and thought I was more than capable of keeping it under control. Here you can see me sitting on the front bumper of their enormous tender.

Where are the other 8?

Where are the other 8?

Today we went for a walk in Norsey Woods. I found this strange thing growing in a clearing. But I wonder where the other 8 have gone? It was near an ancient burial mound, so perhaps it says how many skellingtons are inside?

Where is the letter?

Where is the letter?

Today we had a surprise visit from Mr Duck, as he was staying nearby with The Hippy. It was a lovely day, so we decided we would all go out for a tupperware hunting session.

On the way, we found this big red postbox. Mr Duck was telling us all about his adventures when he posted himself through the mail. It sounded a bit scary, and a little bit exciting too. But I think I will stick to travelling in Caz’s bag for the moment.

Vroom! Vroom!

Vroom! Vroom!

Look what Leo found! We had a nice time pretending to zoom about on this lovely shiny motorbike. But we weren’t allowed to go out on the road because the skid lids did not fit, and it’s very important to take safety seriously. Never mind, we still enjoyed ourselves! Vrrroooooom!
